The Underworld series created one of the most committed color palettes in horror fantasy. A world rendered almost entirely in blue, black, and silver, with warm amber occasionally signaling the lycanthrope world in contrast to the vampires' cold domain. This near-monochromatic aesthetic gave the franchise a gothic visual coherence that transcended its budget limitations and made it immediately recognizable.
