The Predator series builds its visual tension around camouflage and visibility. The jungle's deep greens swallow everything, including the creature, which renders itself nearly invisible against its environment. When the Predator does become visible, it blazes in thermal orange against cool blue. This contrast between hidden and revealed is the franchise's central visual idea, echoed in every installment.
