DC's cinematic universe swings between extremes. Zack Snyder's foundational films desaturated everything into steel and shadow, creating a superhero world that felt genuinely heavy. Aquaman went the opposite direction with luminescent undersea color that felt almost psychedelic. Shazam brought warm primary colors back to the genre. The tonal inconsistency across the franchise is itself a color argument about what these characters should feel like.
