Tarantino's films are steeped in the saturated, slightly artificial color of the exploitation and genre films he loves. Bright reds that read more as aesthetic than gore, the warm yellows of the Bride's tracksuit, the deep browns of the Antebellum South in Django. He treats color as nostalgia and provocation simultaneously, always referencing a cinema that came before while making something entirely his own.
